Mine, Yuko

After completing her diploma as a pianist at the Toho-Gakuen University of Music, she continued her studies with Prof. Matthias Kirschnereit at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater at the Rostock. She graduated, completing her concert examination in 2005 with the honor Suma Cum Laude. Receiving the same honor, she finished additional chamber music studies with Matthias Kirschnereit and Prof. Gert von Bülow (cello) in 2007.
As a result of her outstanding musical performance, she has received awards at a number of international competitions including: The Viotti Competition in Vercelli, Italy; the Schubert Competition, Dortmund, Germany; the Bosendorfer Competition, Sofia, Bulgaria and the Concorso Citta di Marsala, Sicily.

She has performed both as soloist and enthusiastic chamber orchestra member at the Rheingau Musikfestival, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and given international concerts with numerous orchestras including: the Polish Chamber Philharmony, the Orchestra Sinfonica di San Remo, the New Philharmony Westfalen, the North German Philharmony Rostock and the Philharmonic Orchestra Vorpommern.

Since 2005 Yuko Mine has been teaching at the University for Music and Theater in Rostock, German where she shares her vast expertise in all facets of the piano and chamber repertoire from baroque to contemporary.

Recently she has received much acclaim for performance in still another of her Passions; jazz.

It is clear that her multi-oriented interests and creative curiosity with the wohle spectrum of the arts reflects in her original musical programs and in her teaching.
