Martin, Heinrich

Heinrich Martin was born in 1972. Aged only 16, he was admitted to Professor Karl-Heinz Kaemmerling’s class (Salzburg). After graduating from high school in 1992, he took up piano studies under Professor Erich Appel at the Wuerzburg Music Academy. He followed this by studying in the master classes of Professor Bernd Glemser at the same institute. He also attended master classes by Professor Peter Feuchtwanger (London) and Professor Lew Naumov (Moscow).

In 1991, Heinrich Martin was the prizewinner of the "Grotrian Steinweg Piano Competition" in Brunswick. He also won the accompanist prizes at the Robert Saar and Joseph Suder singing competitions. Heinrich Martin gives guest performances at international music festivals such as the "Melos-Ethos" International Festival in St. Petersburg or the Dresden Contemporary Music Festival. As a member of the "Ensemble Musica temporale"(Dresden), he achieved international renown with interpretations of contemporary music. In addition to this, he has played in numerous radio and TV recordings. Martin lives in Laguna Beach in California, which he made his home in 2002.
